Tennis in Hounslow

No clubs on Courting here yet, and nine public court venues across the borough.

Hounslow's public tennis splits in two. Eight park sites run on the borough's own booking network, from Lampton Park, which the council owns and maintains and where bookings are free to users, out to single-court Brent Lea in Brentford and the courts at Bedfont and Feltham. Then there is Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub, which is a different proposition entirely: eight floodlit hard courts run by Better, bookable casually.

Eight parks and a sports hub still leaves the same gap every borough has, which is the other three players. Courting closes it for clubs here: it holds the booking, builds doubles that stay even rather than falling apart in the first two games, and keeps a club night rotating so nobody spends the evening watching from the side.

Tennis in Hounslow: common questions

Which park in Hounslow has the most tennis courts?
Lampton Park, with eight courts, which the operator describes as good quality and bookable up to seven days ahead. Its own page states that the courts are owned and maintained by Hounslow Council and that bookings are free to users. Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub also has eight, but those are run by Better and paid for separately.
Can you play tennis at Gunnersbury Park?
Yes. Better states eight floodlit, hard-surfaced outdoor courts at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub on Popes Lane, available for casual bookings as well as coaching. The park straddles the Ealing and Hounslow boundary, and there is also a separate single-court Gunnersbury Park venue on the Tennis in Ealing network. They are two different booking venues, so check which one you have booked.
How much does it cost to play tennis in Hounslow's parks?
It depends on the site, and most of them do not say. Lampton Park's own page states that bookings are free to users. The other seven park venues publish no price, and neither does the council, so we have left the cost unrecorded rather than assuming the whole borough matches Lampton. Check the booking page for the site you want.
