Tennis in Redbridge

No clubs on Courting here yet, and ten public court venues across the borough.

Redbridge runs ten park tennis sites through Vision RCL, from Valentines Park in Ilford, which is much the largest at eight courts, out to Ray Park in Woodford and Barkingside Recreation Ground. Clayhall Park has six and Goodmayes Park four; most of the rest have two. The pricing is by time of day rather than flat: the council states £3 between 12pm and 5pm on weekdays, and £6 at weekends and from 5pm to closing.

A cheap midweek afternoon is only a bargain if somebody else can make it, and that is where an otherwise straightforward plan usually dies. Courting exists for that gap: members say when they are actually free, and the app builds the group and the booking around those windows instead of leaving it to whoever answers first.

The council states £3 between 12pm and 5pm Monday to Friday, and £6 at weekends and from 5pm until closing on weekdays. It also describes courts in the borough that can be booked free of charge, so it is worth checking the site's own booking page for the slot you want before assuming a price.
